I'd use Quicksilver 25W40 Synthetic Blend - it might be the best oil in that application (not the full synthetic - it has lower levels of phos and zinc to allow for use with catalytic converters) Diesel or automotive oil will work, but marine oil is purpose-built for marine engines.
