WebDec 1, 2010 · I think that you get "stuck" on a setting because the base to "release button" interface is flawed some how so when the dumbbell is placed back in the base it doesn't depress the button... not allowing you to select a new weight. The fix is to lift the weight back out of the cradle, depress the button and manually remove the weights yourself.
