WebJan 20, 2024 · I can’t speak of the EJs , but I had a guitar with fat 50s. They have a decent 50s vibe going on with more on the bass side. I have 2 guitars with CS 50s ri pickups. I have CS 59 hand wound and CS 50s in an AVRI thin skin. Both capture the 50s vibe well. If I remember correctly, the bridge of the fat 50s was wound hotter.
